Create Comforts was the brain child of Nick Park, the same man behind Wallace and Gromit and the Chicken Run, and showed various zoo animals being interviewed.

It used the same claymation process to animate the models, but also used geninue interviews with the public as the basis for the animal voices. The first series of Creature Comforts, originally a short film, won Nick Park an Oscar in 1990. This lead on to a series of adverts based on the same idea and eventually a TV series of Creature Comforts.

Creature Comfort toys can somewhat be hard to track down. Amongst some of the favourite toys are cuddly toys based on the Creature Comfort characters such as Nigel the Slug and Trixie the dog. Besides these soft toys, there is also a range of resin based models and a limited range of Creature Comforts stationary. More details can be seen at the official Creature Comforts website
