Supermans life on film has been long and varied. He has appeared in a new film, cartoon or TV series for each generation. All together this builds into quite a substantial back catalogue of films and dvds.
The earliest Superman DVDs are from the 1952 black and white The Adventures Of Superman films. Since then we have had numerous hollywood versions and several TV series based on Superman. The majority of these have migrated onto DVD, with the latest Smallville TV series being a particulary popular superman DVD.
This year sees the release of Superman Returns the latest Hollywood addition to the Superman saga, and is sure to a big hit.
